Millstone
The granite millstone from beautiful Liguria found its way across the Alps to Baden-Baden through the Eberts family.
The millstone, which weighs about 1500 kg, comes from the Italian coastal region of Liguria. It is made from the area’s naturally-occurring granite rock and was used for the production of olive oil. Wolfgang Eberts often spent his holidays in the region and he also established a subsidiary of his tree nursery here. He acquired the millstone and had it transported over the Alps to Baden-Baden.
