Documenta Stone
This stone bench has an eventful history.
A special story lies behind the documenta stone in the Friedrich Eberts Arboretum, which is best told to you by the arboretum’s former owner, nursery operator and bamboo enthusiast himself: Wolfgang Eberts (> audio guide). The stone was custom-made in line with an idea and sketch by American sculptor Scott Burton (* June 23, 1939, † December 29, 1989), whom Wolfgang Eberts had met at the documenta art fair in Kassel. Today the stone serves as a bench in the arboretum.
